What is MaconPix? After a lifetime of playing with nearly every photographic and computer related toy that's come down the pike, I've put both to work in this website. This is a hobby site, no more, no less. You may contact me at Roger@MaconPix.com. The site is always under construction, so if a link doesn't work today, it may be up and running tomorrow ~ try back soon. test Please, enjoy the photos!

TCU Congratulates Latest Horned Frog After months of agonizing, it's official, Ben has been accepted to the School of Music at Texas Christian University! Not only that, but he also received the offer of a $10,000 scholarship. It was truly a "purple letter" day at our house. We're proud of Ben, and are excited to share the news!!!

2007 Travels Another year brings more trips for the Macons. Ben will be with the Scouts again this summer, and we'll be on the road to several locations. We're starting earlier this year, in San Antonio, to attend the Texas Music Educators Association convention. Ben is performing in the All-State Concert Band. Rough Weather Hits the Metroplex Rough weather hit the D/FW Metroplex this afternoon (4/13/07), and we saw our share of hail. The photo at right is the largest we recovered from the front yard after the initial storm passed. Our cars were not spared, with each suffering damage. C's windshield was broken, and some VERY large dents are reported. Everyone is safe here, but south Haltom City was hit very hard. A tornado reportedly hit about five miles south of us - too close for comfort. You can see more photos of what we were hit with here.

Assorted Vacations - Summer 2006 With Benjamin out of the house marching with the Madison Scouts, and Alan off working most of the time, Cindy and Roger have found themselves as quasi-empty nesters. We're planning several excursions around the country this summer, culminating with a trip to Madison, WI to bring Ben back. You may follow our journeys starting here. |

Alaska Tour - June 2005 June of 2005 found us touring Alaska and British Columbia with our in-laws, Johnnie and Nadean Bell. The trip was planned long ago in celebration of the Bell's 50th and the Macon's 25th wedding anniversaries. The photo at left is of Mount McKinley, taken in late afternoon from the deck at the Princess McKinley Wilderness Lodge. Roger parsed nearly 5,000 photos into a book, which can be found by following this link.
