Day Two started quite a bit later than Day One.  We were up to the lobby of the hotel about 11:30 a.m., which equates to 1:30 p.m. home time.  It didn't take long to get used to the time change!  We found there's quite a Star Trek section just off the lobby of the Hilton.  Not being fans, we really didn't explore a lot, but we did stop to have our pictures taken with one of the locals.  The overhead display of Star Trek ships was pretty neat, though.

That's some outfit!

C made me do this.

We continued the day by getting a pair of monorail passes, and heading south toward The Strip.  The plan was to go as far south as we dared, then head north as far as we could.  It was the beginning of a long, long journey.

Shortly after entering the MGM, we ran into this cat, lounging in a really large playpen.  It seems they take their mascot's image seriously at the MGM, and import a few lions from their ranch each day to entertain guests.  We were thoroughly amused for quite a while by a trio of oversized "kitteens".

As we keep saying, everything is so much larger than life in Las Vegas.  Here's the New York skyline, all crammed into a city block at New York, New York.  Each skyscraper is another tower in their famous hotel.  The insides were as grand, offering many of New York's favorites, like Nathan's Hot Dogs.

R got this shot of the Statue of Liberty while never heading east!

While this guy hung around inside hocking ice cream.

One thing people kept saying you have to see in Las Vegas was the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.  In what was the southernmost part of our journey, we did see the reef, and the wonderful aquatic life it holds.  Here are a few of the many cool things we saw there.  Among the attractions was a Golden Crocodile, rarely seen outside of its native Thailand.

The darker it got, the more there was to see.  Sadly, the harder it became to take pictures.  We wandered around The Strip, both on foot, as well as via the Monorail.  By the time we made it back to the Hilton it was after 1:00 a.m..  It took a couple of minutes for it to sink in that 1:00 a.m. Vegas time is 3:00 a.m. Fort Worth time.  Wow, we hadn't been out that late in a long, long time!

This was one busy day in Las Vegas.  Here are a few more of the shots we got in and around The Strip.
